Confession: I am addicted to Pinterest.

When I first began "pinning," I thought it was fun and cute--almost like a fusion between Tumblr & Twitter. But as I've created boards, mapped out ideas and even organized my thoughts, I have to admit that Pinterest is a powerful tool. My favorite part about Pinterest is that it can be used across professions from teachers to interior designers yet allows for collaboration within the platform. Are you on Pinterest? If so, what do you use it for?

This is one addiction that I am happy to confess to!

Check out the "My Life in Loubies" board on Pinterest and let me know what you think!

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Now our eyes are set forward, looking to the New Year. Every year I find myself questioning just how fast the year really went by. And that's exactly what I'm doing at this very moment!

This year has been quite a year! First off, thank you all so very much for reading "My Life in Loubies," sharing it with friends and using the book to engage in dialogue. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful and responsive audience! But then again, there's always something to say about Vanessa!!

Also, I have been working on book 2, as many of you probably know via my tweets and Facebook, and I can't wait to share it with you! Seeing that to completion is one of my goals as we say "hello" to 2012.

What about you? What are your goals? (I prefer "goals" versus "resolutions" since goals seem achievable!)

Wishing you a wonderful 2012!!

On Thanksgiving week, it's hard not to think about the things that we are "thankful" for at some point. For some, it maybe just before mealtime on Thursday while for others it maybe a few days prior when getting ready to travel. It's these types of moments that help create the memories that make the holidays even more special. Despite what you might "thankful" for, I hope that you take a moment to reflect on the postive building blocks that construct the foundation of your life. Sometimes these blocks might seem like they are hiding or turned the wrong way, but they are there! With that, I wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

Cosmo Radio: Wake Up! With Taylor

This Monday I was invited to Cosmo Radio's morning show, Wake Up With Taylor at Sirius XM. First off, it was so refreshing to be back in New York. I haven't been back East for awhile and it was beyond overdue.

Okay, so now on to Cosmo, which by the way is one of the most amazing stations! (Confession: One of the main reasons that I subscribe to Sirius/XM.)  We had a wonderful, in-studio conversation about the root of happiness, why we are beyond obsessed with luxury and "the fake life," and of course, My Life in Loubies. In the spirit of Cosmo Radio, it was truly a "fun, fearless, female" conversation!

Lastly, thank you to all of the listeners who contacted me and are reading the book. I am so excited for you to read it and will host a special Blog Talk Radio show so you can call in and discuss! In the meantime, feel free to follow me on Blog Talk Radio for my weekly shows! Next show: Thursday, 11/17/11 8:30 PM (PST)

Rehashing The RealHousewives of Beverly Hills

I watch and live tweet during Bravo's The RealHousewives of Beverly Hills. Something about the cast and the ridiculous wealth combined with fashion and over-the-top parties have me hooked. I have been watching since last season and am left each week with so much to say. This week I was the guest caller on AfterBuzzTV's RHOBH after-show. It was so great to speak with Mari Fagel (@mfagel), Jackie Miranne (@jackiemiranne) and DJ Jessie Janedy (@DjJessieJ) about what happened and what we thought. This really takes "Reality TV" to another level: one that sparks discussions about life, money, personalities and much more!

Kim Kardashian Divorce...Here We Go...

It's hard to avoid Kim Kardashian talk, it's everywhere and seems to have taken over almost all media platforms this week. Whether you're a faithful Kardashian fan or just watching the news, it seems that one thing that everyone has in common is an opinion on her marriage, or better yet, the wedding. Was it real? Was it a business venture? Was it cooked up by producers thanks to an expert cast? Whatever your opinion may be, I hope that we, as a society, focus more on the meaning of marriage, instead of the formalities of the day itself. While a well-planned wedding with an unlimited floral budget makes for amazing pictures, it's the relationship between the two individuals that makes the memories, well beyond the flowers and the cake!

I spoke with Jennifer Jones Lee and John Bristow from KGO's Morning News (810 AM San Francisco) on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 about the divorce.
Listen here, around 47 minutes into the hour.
